In 2011 I had the opportunity to move back to my home town Accrington, Lancashire.

Sadly which meant I had to say good -bye to all my Coventry clients :(

I would like to say a BIG THANK-YOU to all of you for staying with me over the years, already missing our chats and of course my doggie buddys.

My name is Andrea and I am the main groomer of Ruff Woof's.

Ruff Woof's is a small grooming room run by myself from home at the rear of my property.

I have always had a love for animals especially dogs. To which I am owned by several, all of them need grooming but one needs regular grooming including clipping...

Skie, my female Lurcher has an unusual coat type (for her breed) that matts & knots very easily. In her younger days I never really knew how to take care of her coat, so she used to visit other grooming salons on a regular basis and even tho she came back looking great I was never totally happy with the finished result.

Thats when I decided to train myself, I wanted to learn how to take care of her coat without having her clipped short all the time. 

In 2005, I attended Warwickshire College at Morton Morrell where I successfully completed & gained my OCN qualification, a recognized Dog Grooming & Business Management course.

At the time I wasn't interested in the business side but that came as part of the course - but un-be-knowing to me that would soon change.

Then I started grooming my familys dogs, then friends of the family and so on. I found that I really enjoyed it so I started grooming at weekends ( and soon built up a small client list which is constantly growing) as I worked fulltime in an office during the week. This soon changed, I dropped to part-time at the office and started grooming part-time but still working a 7 day week.

Now... I've been grooming for several years now and still work 7 days with an odd afternoon off. I no-longer work in the office but at my vets on reception.

I really enjoy what I do, it gives me great satisfaction to see our canine friends looking glam.
